Palm is going to give people who bought a Palm M130 their money back if they want to. Why? Because the company told their customers the device would display 65000 color combinations, but for real could only do 58000 color combinations (or 4096 seperate colors). People who want to keep their unit can apply for a free game. I hope this game does not need 65k colors. So far only 10 people applied for a refund the company states.

I propose that people only get their money back if they can see the difference between 65k colors and 58k colors.
Prove that they can see the difference and give them their money back. If they can’t, they’re not allowed to whine ever again.
Now the question is, how to design a test to determine if the user can see the difference. Is there any form to test a human perception of colors in the first place?
Let them pick the correct unit?
Argh, thats too simple of an approach.
zo gaan we intellie doen edtje, leuk dit
